How the counting works

Three steps. That's it.

Join the Community

One WhatsApp link gets you into the umbrella Community. Announcements are admin-only, so your phone won't melt.

Pick your province

Nine provincial groups. Join the one where the beer is happening, not the one where you live. Provinces are teams now.

Post the selfie

You and the beer, in one frame, in South Africa. Admins count it. It lands on your province's total and the national one.

The Provincial League

The national total is the headline. The provincial rivalry is the point. Every valid photo pushes your province up the table, and a weekly leaderboard lands in Announcements with the counts, the movers and the commentary.

This is a beer

+A clear photo of you with a beer, taken in South Africa, posted in the right provincial group.
+Group photo? Every clearly visible beer counts once, provided nobody double-posts it.
+Live submissions. The beer you're holding right now is the ideal beer.
Does not count

This is not a beer

×Wine, spirits, cocktails, cider, coolers. Respectfully: not beer.
×Non-alcoholic beer. Excluded from the total until it gets its own category.
×Duplicates, stock photos, blurry mysteries. If the beer can't be identified, it doesn't count.
